Canada's New Leftist Gov't Drops Fight Against ISIS
One of America's allies in the fight against ISIS is dropping out. On Monday Canada elected the left-wing Liberal Party after ten years of Conservative rule. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Designate Justin Trudeau announced that he had spoken to President Barack Obama about his commitment to pull Canada's fighter jets and ground troops home. "Canada has a role to play in the fight against ISIL but he understands the commitments I’ve made around ending the combat mission," Trudeau told reporters of his phone call with Obama.

Justin Trudeau just won a majority government. Get ready for the pain.
He promised to raise taxes, raise spending and put our country back into debt.
He vowed to kill the Northern Gateway pipeline and to bring in new carbon taxes.
He said he'd abandon our military mission against ISIS terrorists, and take in 25,000 Syrian migrants by Christmas.
Do you doubt he’s going to do it?His ideas will be a disaster. Government will grow. Personal freedom will shrink. Our national security will be weakened. And our foreign policy will tilt far left. Trudeau is the candidate who said he admires China for its “basic dictatorship”, and promises to normalize relations with Iran.
And who’s going to stop him?The political left controls most provincial legislatures and the courts. Every university and NGO pushes to the left.
But the worst is the mainstream media. For nine years, they weren’t just watchdogs — they were mad dogs. I called it “Harper Derangement Syndrome”.
Well, after watching the media's pro-Liberal bias in this campaign, do you doubt that they’re about to become Trudeau's lapdogs?
So who will hold the Liberal government to account? Who will shine a light of public scrutiny on what Trudeau does — his fan club at the CBC?
The Sun News Network is gone. The National Post is in disarray. The Conservative Party itself will now be consumed with a divisive leadership race.
So who will be the people’s opposition?I think a lot of that responsibility falls to us, here at The Rebel.I promise we will keep the fires burning during the next four years. We’ll hold Trudeau to account. We’ll do a bit of everything — news reports; conservative commentary; we’ll be a conservative “think tank”; and when necessary, we’ll be activists too.
We’ve already started. As you know, we finished building our TV studio on Friday afternoon — and we used it for the first time tonight, broadcasting a live election results show for more than two hours. We had a few first-time jitters, but it was pretty good for our inaugural show. We’ll get better the next time, and even better the time after that.
So let me put it another way: the fight-back starts now.In the next few days, when you’re talking to your friends and family, and people ask who will stand up for them and their values, point them to us, at www.TheRebel.media. And tell them to join our fight for Canada.
Yours truly,
Ezra Levant
P.S. Do you know what Kathleen Wynne has done to Ontario, and Rachel Notley is doing to Alberta? Trudeau is going to do that to Canada.
It’s terrible. But we’ve got to keep our sense of humour. Click here to buy our new T-shirts and bumper stickers that say, “Don’t blame me, I voted Conservative”!
