Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., more commonly known as John Denver, was an American singer-songwriter, record producer, activist, actor, and humanitarian. He began his music career at the age of 19, and during a music career that spanned 35 years, he released 300 songs, while selling some 33 million records worldwide.
