Nhà văn Lê Tất Điều và tác phẩm Small People's Revolt

Thằng nào nói nhiều thằng ấy tay to
Tiếng mẹ thường chỉ dùng chửi đổng
Hay những đêm sầu tí toáy làm thơ...

Trước khi di tản, ông là một nhà giáo và cũng là một ký giả tại Sài Gòn. Đã xuất bản truyện dài Đêm Dài Một Đời đã đoạt giải thưởng của Trung Tâm Văn Bút Việt Nam, và các tập truyện ngắn Khởi Hành (1961), Kẻ Tình Nguyện, Quay Trong Gió Lốc (1965), Đêm Dài Một Đời (1966), Phá Núi (1968), Người Đá (1968), Những Giọt Mực (1968), Anh Em (1970), Thơ Cao Tần (1978), Thư về Bloomington, Illinois, nhà xuất bản Văn Nghệ, 1997. Và Letters to Bloomington, Illinois, tác giả tự xuất bản, 1999.
Tạp chí Bách Khoa do GS.

Long Bát Bộ do nhà văn Kim Dung sáng tác.

SMALL PEOPLE’S REVOLT

(The Homeland of the World's Myriad Creatures) "The speed of time is actually the speed upon which the Universe exists. That speed is steady and unvarying. There's no way it changes depending on the location, speed, or size of anything inside the Universe." Einstein’s Error in the
Time Dilation Theory

                                                     English version by Le Tuan

NEUTRINO’S VELOCITY IS IRRELEVANT
Albert Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity – also known as the theory of “Time Dilation” – was thought to have been killed in the month of September 2011 at the age of 106.

The suspects in the slaying were the subatomic particles known as neutrinos. The act of killing occurred when, in a race against light organized by CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), the neutrinos appeared to have exceeded the speed of light, reaching the final destination 60 nanoseconds ahead of light, thereby consigning Einstein's theory to the realm of death.

The reason the theory was able to survive robustly for so long is that some Theory’s supporters issued an edict forbidding anything in the universe to travel faster than light. Why? Because according to the theory, when a car is moving, time slows down inside that car. When it reaches the speed of light, time stops. And should it exceed that speed, time would travel in the opposite direction, meaning the car would go back in time. Believing that the universe would not allow this phenomenon to occur, these scientists cautiously enacted a traffic law imposing a maximum speed for all objects in motion that gave the light sedan an advantage over any other vehicles on the universal freeway.

When the neutrinos in the CERN experiment appeared to violate this law by exceeding that maximum speed, the light sedan crashed, and Einstein's theory ended up on life support. Numerous scientists all over the world congregated around its bedside in an effort to resuscitate it. The campaign to discredit the CERN’s experiment began in earnest.

However, just two months later, the multinational OPERA (Oscillation Project with Emulsion Tracking Apparatus) emulated the CERN’s experiment with improved techniques to avoid possible errors. The result was the same: Light was found trailing behind the neutrinos, desperately holding its nose to avoid inhaling their exhaust fumes.

But in late February 2012 the scientists at the Gran Sasso laboratory confessed that their measuring device had a faulty cable and some other bad components. The explanation is neatly vague: They said a snafu in the operating components may have led to the faulty measurement of the neutrinos’ speed, indicating that they had flown FASTER than in reality. However, the cable’s mess-up showed a false reading that revealed a SLOWER velocity. This means that the neutrinos could have been moving either faster or slower than the speed of light for more than 60 seconds. Therefore, even after this heartfelt confession, we are still in the dark as to whether the Special Theory of Relativity is dead or alive. But to their credit, their remorseful confession has managed to keep the theory on life support, waiting for a new doctor and not yet ready to be deep-sixed.
(The scientists at the Gran Sasso laboratory said tests on the equipment used in their experiment had led to two question marks over its sensational results, because of problems with possible faulty cabling and separately with a timing mechanism. The first issue "could have led to an underestimate of the time of flight of the neutrinos" while the second could have resulted in "an overestimate," according to a statement by the Italian laboratory's OPERA group of neutrino specialists, relayed by the CERN particle physics research centre in Geneva. -

NEVER STOP QUESTIONING

Albert Einstein once said: “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”

Bearing this exhortation in mind, we have come up with the following questions:

1. Why does point B remain in one position while the whole train has moved forward?
2. How can the right triangle ABC be formed while the train is in motion?
3. How does the light pulse in Zoe’s car manage to move forward with her and her car without transforming itself into a chain of hypotenuses of a right triangle?
4. How should we deal with the paradoxes?
5. A Sun ray (or just a light pulse), even at the speed of light, would need 8 minutes to reach the earth. During those 8 minutes, everything that resides on the inside and the outside of that ray or light pulse - meaning its whole entity - has to exist together, travel together, fly together. So, what part of that ray will earn the benefits of the theory of Time Dilation?
6. Should we ignore the “fourth dimension" role of time to make the extremely ambitious Time Dilation Theory fit in this universe?

If you cannot find answers to the above questions, you should accept this sad news: The Time Dilation Theory is nothing more than a fantastic sci-fi tale. Let Time keep its dear size and speed everywhere, at any moment, under any circumstances, and let the neutrinos and everything else be free to run, fly… as fast as they can in this universe without bearing the task of digging tunnels into the fully occupied and impenetrable space, and traveling in the past. Especially for the universe, which expands with a velocity greater than that of light*.

No more Einstein speeding tickets, please.

*In an expanding universe, there are areas of space moving at the speed of light relative to us. The Hubble constant shows that the objects at the edge of the observable universe were moving at the speed of light 13.7 billion years ago when the light left them. Today they are moving at 3.44 times the speed of light. Even an object, stationary with respect to expanding space, can move away from us at the speed of light or more – Mirrors- David T Yarbrough.
